Excellent basic Ultrasound book for ICU. You will still need hands on practice but it will cut your learning time if you read it before hand and then again once you go through a course. Dr. Mayo's course through the ACP is an excellent one.

An instance where a substantial contributor, developer, and great proponent on an entire field (clinician ultrasound) is also a most talented author. This work is interesting, easy to read and most instructive. Perhaps not only new talents by physicians but new talents in authoring will be the result of this most fine work.

Author's personality permeates this book

This is an interesting book written more for enthusiasts than purists. The prose evokes the author's personality vividly. The quirks make it memorable. Of the few chapters in which I have some experience, the information is spot on- illustrating a transcontinental objectivity that is as convincing as the data.

BEAUTIFUL, HEARTWARMING, ENTERTAINING AND SATISFYING !!!

Finding Her Bear is the second book in the Bear Creek series by Harmony Raines and I absolutely loved it! Exciting! Thrilling! Entertaining! Satisfying! Heartwarming! Romantic! Sweet! Sexy! A few editing errors but overall well written. Kayleigh loved Bear Creek and didn't want to leave but if she couldn't find another job, she couldn't afford to stay. She felt more at home here than anywhere she had ever lived. She was only six when her mother died and left her and her sister alone to flounder for years in foster care. No, she didn't want to leave, not again. She was tired of wandering and searching for a home. And Daryl Cartwright didn't want her to leave. He definitely wanted her to stay - with him. After all, she was his one true mate. Now all he had to do is work up the courage to tell her. And just one other little problem - he's a bear. Now if he could only find his courage, maybe he could convince her to stay - with him and be his forever. So sweet.....An awesome read!

Great romantic story.

I have read many shifter stories. This one is one of the best. It takes things slowly and builds up into a great romantic story. I wish this book was a little longer. Daryl is shy and it takes him a long time to even talk to Kayleigh. She is friendly but unsure of herself. When they finally get to know one another things happen fairly quickly. She came from a background of foster care and has low self-esteem. Can she stay and not run away? Can she make a commitment? She doesn't want children but will that change? She is not used to belonging to a family. How will family life change for her? Coming from her background what will it be like to be in love?

Not bad but could use more development

I liked it but I liked the first better. I don't think the characters were developed enough in this one. Kayleigh had a lot of issues that should have been addressed. I wanted to understand Daryl better too why he was so shy and not willing to step up and talk to her. I STILL wanna read about Will! His would make a great story. I want to know more. Sam also.

Worth Reading!

Enjoyed the delivery and explanations. As a seasoned mixing engineer myself, I was able to confirm all concepts and teachings through previous personal experience. Confidence Booster

I got this book as a free download from a sponsored ad that showed up on my Facebook, and since I'm always looking to get more education to further my mixing I took advantage of the offer, and I'm really glad I did. Juth's thoughts and wisdom helped me solidify things that I've picked up along the way by simply following my ears, but wondered if other serious and recognized engineers did as well. I picked up some new concepts as well, like running multiple compressors in parallel on a vocal to give it deeper, different colors. I went to a mix I was working on and felt liberated and much more confident using my compressors as colors. It almost felt like second nature to send the lead vocal through a 660 and an 1176 blue stripe and blend them together to the taste of the song. It's been fun playing around with compressors with new insights and added confidence. I just purchased his new book "The Art of Equalization" and have the same feelings about it as I did with this book. Both are must haves for anyone looking to improve and add confidence to their mixes.
