This Book Is Your Beanstalk: Water It and Watch Yourself Grow

So that life is your active choice …” Indeed, this book exhorts, in a clear and warm voice, prospective entrepreneurs—you—to take action: consider your choices, refine your perspective about those choices—and choose!
There are many motivational books that point you to experimentation, taking risks, trying new things, but of great value here are the helpful, logically presented worksheets that take you through the process of assessing your readiness to step out of the conventional working world and into the vocation of your choosing. The worksheets have “grades” that give focus to the deep self-assessment exercises that are throughout the book.
The heart of the book for me were the later chapters that parsed how the nagging, internal voice—the one that so often says “no” to risk and challenge—could be reframed. Angela pores into how attitude shapes us, and how distinguishing between fact and inner belief is a tremendous skill, and one that can be coached.
At book’s end, all of your mulling and musings will add up to either getting to “Yes, I can and will start a business” or “No,” and best of all, Why. Angela answers her own question about Who's With Us? She is, big-time, and since her invitation is so hard to turn down, you will be too.

A great book for anyone unsure of where to go next in their career!

This book is an awesome roadmap that helps the reader uncover what they really want, what they're good at, and what is at the heart of their core values for both work and life. While it has lots of great stories from successful entrepreneurs (who share their struggles for how they got to where they are today), it's not a passive read because it contains truly thought-provoking exercises and self-assessments that inspired me to have some a-ha! moments. Many of us think we know what we want but end up going after things for the wrong reasons, and I really appreciated how this book didn't preach what you should do but rather empowered me to get to know myself better and decide the best next step based on my unique desires and circumstances right now. It's written in a down-to-earth way and has a sense of humor, I definitely recommend it for anyone who's not sure of what they want to do next!

Angela Lussier is a person who knows her truth and is willing to share it. She turns her experiences into wonderful lessons from which we can all benefit. Obviously, starting and running a business is not for all those who may have the dream. Because.... it does take a set of attitudes, skills, gifts without which the dream cannot easily fulfill the promise. Here's your due diligence. Everyone who has had a dream about a business can do themselves a favor and devote 21-days or a month or two to see if this is really something that matches your mojo.
