Mark Novak is Dean and Associate Vice President of the Department of International and Extended Studies at San Jose State University. He has a taught a course in Aging and Society for over 20 years.

Very detailed

This is a very useful book; lots of facts and support for ideas, but it has a lot of extra stories thrown in by the author and it gets a little distracting.

Content good but format terrible for e-book

VERY bummed. Bought the e-book for use on my kindle. The only place I can read it is on my iPad. It doesn't work on my brand new windows 8 computer, my laptop, my iphone, or my actual Kindle. I would have bought the paper copy had I known. Very inconvenient. For that reason, I am giving only 3 stars. The actual CONTENT is good- written in easy-to-read and understand language. Simple, seems up to date. But I wish I had been made aware that this would only be readable on my iPad. I wouldn't have purchased the e-book.
