great book! I love it!

This book is so great. detailed pictures and information on each herb. I was very impressed. I also ordered a second copy for someone else. If you have questions about herbs this is the book for you. I would order again if I was looking for a gift for someone with herbal questions. enjoy!

Therapeutic indications aren't consistent.

The therapeutic indications for herbs in this book aren't consistent throughout the book. For example, there is a therapeutic index on pages 46-48. In the category of headache, lavender is not listed as one of the recommended herbs. However, later in the book, there is a section on headaches (p. 208-9), and lavender is listed as one of the best remedies. It appears that different people may have written different parts of this book. I have not compared this version to more recent versions; hopefully this inconsistency has been remedied.

A wonderful book. Exactly what I needed for the family library. Information is written clear and concise along with beautifully illustrated pictures. Everyone interested in herbs need this book. It is so easy to look up a herb or an ailment and find your answers.
